The Department of Sanskrit, Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, under the banner ‘Yashasvi Sanskrita Sangh’, organized the Sanskrit Week Celebration from August 9 to 15, 2025. The programme was aimed at promoting the richness, heritage, and cultural significance of the Sanskrit language among students and the community.
The week-long celebration included various activities such as Sanskrit recitation competitions, quiz contests, storytelling sessions, elocution events, cultural performances, and yoga practices .
These activities were designed to encourage active participation and enhance the appreciation of Sanskrit literature and traditions.
The celebrations also featured cultural items that showcased traditional art forms, devotional music, and literary presentations in Sanskrit.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The closing ceremony concluded with a message emphasizing the need to preserve and promote Sanskrit as a treasure of Indian culture.
The Sanskrit Week Celebration successfully instilled a renewed respect and enthusiasm for the language, aligning with the institution’s mission to uphold India’s cultural and educational values.
