The Mathrubhasha Vedi of Adi Shankara Training College, Kalady, organized a Farmers’ Day Celebration on August 18, 2025, at 1:30 PM. The event was held under the theme “Mashithandu”, highlighting the significance of agriculture and the role of farmers in sustaining life.
The session was inaugurated by Smt. Rosi Papachan and Smt. Jolly Jose Pynadath, who delivered inspiring talks emphasizing the importance of agriculture in maintaining food security, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability. They also motivated the students to value the hard work of farmers and to preserve traditional agricultural practices.
The program included various cultural and interactive sessions that reflected the farmers’ struggles, contributions, and their vital role in society. Students actively participated, showcasing their respect and gratitude towards the farming community.
The event concluded with the message that agriculture is the backbone of the nation, and everyone must extend wholehearted support and recognition to the farmers who feed the world.
