The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, under the banner of NSS Unit-244. The celebrations began at 9:00 a.m. with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by the Principal, Dr. N. K. Arjunan. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony, where students and staff pledged to uphold the ideals of freedom and unity.
A patriotic song was presented, filling the atmosphere with national pride. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held in connection with the day, including essay writing, photography, and poster making.
The program concluded with the distribution of Payasam to all students and staff, adding a sweet note to the memorable occasion. The event successfully instilled a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment among all participants.
