Art Fest 2025 "Samanwaya "

Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, organized its annual arts festival “Samanwaya Arts Fest 2025” as part of the academic year 2025–26. The four-day cultural extravaganza was conducted from 17th to 20th December 2025 with the objective of promoting creativity, cultural expression, aesthetic appreciation, and holistic personality development among student teachers.

The festival was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sri. Parthasarathy, a well-known theatre personality. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of arts in education and stated that cultural activities play a vital role in developing emotional balance, confidence, communication skills, and social harmony. He encouraged student teachers to actively engage in fine arts, as they are future educators responsible for nurturing creativity among school students.

The programme featured a wide range of competitions and performances, including literary events, music, dance, drama, and fine arts. Student teachers from different optional subjects participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents in both individual and group events. The campus was filled with vibrant colours, decorations, and a festive atmosphere throughout the four days.

As part of the festival, various stage and off-stage events were conducted. The competitions were judged by external experts, ensuring fairness and professional evaluation. The events were well coordinated by the student council and faculty members, reflecting excellent organizational skills and teamwork.

The Arts Fest also witnessed the emergence of young talents. Students who excelled in different categories were recognized and appreciated. The following students were honoured in major categories during the festival:

Kalathilakam: Shana Mehshaboom K.B (English)

Kalaprathibha: Sravan Karthik K.T (Physical Science)

Junior Kalathilakam: Meenu Benny (Social Science)

Junior Kalaprathibha: Dhananjay Krishnan K.S (Sanskrit)

Their achievements stood as a testimony to the artistic excellence nurtured by the institution.

Throughout the festival, the active involvement of faculty members, judges, volunteers, and participants contributed to the smooth conduct of all events. The programmes not only entertained the audience but also helped in building confidence, leadership qualities, stage presence, and cooperative spirit among the student teachers.

The Arts Fest concluded with a colourful valedictory function, during which winners were awarded certificates and trophies. The organizers expressed gratitude to the chief guest, judges, faculty coordinators, and students for making the event a grand success.

In conclusion, Samanwaya Arts Fest 2025 was a memorable and enriching experience for the entire college community. It successfully fulfilled its purpose of fostering cultural awareness, unity, creativity, and holistic development among future teachers.

International Opportunities-Jubirich Consultancy





  Awareness Class on Educational Opportunities Abroad

An awareness class on Educational Opportunities Abroad was organised for the students of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, by Jubirich Consultancy Services on 16 December at the College Auditorium. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about higher education options and career prospects available in foreign countries.

The session was led by expert representatives from Jubirich Consultancy Services, who provided detailed information about various countries offering quality education, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, entrance examinations, scholarships, and visa processes. They also highlighted popular courses, universities, and the scope of international education in enhancing professional growth.

The resource persons guided the students on choosing suitable courses based on their interests and academic background. They also addressed common concerns related to financial planning, accommodation, part-time work opportunities, and post-study employment options abroad. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and seek clarifications regarding overseas education.

The programme was informative and highly beneficial, as it broadened the students’ perspectives on global educational opportunities and helped them make informed decisions about their future studies. Placement Drive







 Placement Drive

A Placement Drive was successfully organised by the Placement Cell of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, in collaboration with the Teachers Placement Cell, Aluva, on 15 December 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in the college Auditorium. The programme aimed at providing employment opportunities and career guidance to the aspiring teacher trainees.

The programme began with a formal inauguration, highlighting the importance of placement initiatives in shaping the professional future of teacher trainees. Representatives from the Teachers Placement Cell, Aluva, addressed the students and briefed them about the current opportunities available in the education sector, recruitment procedures, and expectations of schools from prospective teachers.

The placement drive included orientation sessions, interaction with placement coordinators, and guidance on interview skills, resume preparation, and professional conduct. Students actively participated in the sessions and clarified their doubts regarding recruitment processes and career prospects in the teaching profession.

The event proved to be highly beneficial and motivating for the students, as it helped them gain clarity about their career paths and enhanced their confidence to face placement interviews. The programme concluded with a note of gratitude to the collaborating institution, organisers, and participants for making the placement drive a grand success.

Resume Preparation workshop




  THE WEBINAR ON RESUME PREPARATION AND INTERVIEW SKILLS

The English Club of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an insightful webinar on “Resume Preparation and Interview Skills” on 10th December 2025. The session was conducted through the online platform Google Meet from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

The resource person for the webinar was Mr. Manoah John Jose, Head of the English Department at Birla Open Minds International School and a certified trainer. He addressed the participants with great expertise and clarity, beginning with the significance of a well-structured resume in making a strong first impression. He explained the essential components of an effective resume, common mistakes candidates make, and techniques to present one’s skills and accomplishments precisely.

The session then moved to interview skills, where Mr. Manoah highlighted the importance of confidence, body language, communication skills, and preparation. He also provided practical tips on answering common interview questions and strategies to excel in both virtual and face-to-face interviews.

The webinar was highly informative and beneficial for the student teachers, equipping them with practical knowledge that will support their future career pursuits. The participants expressed their appreciation for the resource person’s engaging presentation and the English Club’s effort in organizing such a valuable programme.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a productive and enriching learning experience.

NAAC Orientation-2nd











  NAAC ORIENTATION PROGRAM – II

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady organized the NAAC Orientation Program – II on Saturday, 6th December 2025 at the college seminar hall. The session was conducted with the objective of enhancing the awareness and preparedness of faculty members regarding the NAAC accreditation process and quality enhancement in higher education institutions.

The program commenced at 9:50 AM with a solemn prayer, after which the gathering stood in respect. The welcome address was delivered by our Vice principal ( IQAC coordinator) Mrs Praseeda V who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, the resource person, staff and student teachers. She highlighted the significance of quality assurance in teacher education and the necessity of collective effort for institutional development.

The session was led by the resource person, Dr. K. S. Sajan, Assistant Professor, NSS Training College, Ottappalam. Dr. Sajan provided valuable insights into the revised NAAC framework, key assessment indicators, preparation of AQAR, documentation of academic and administrative activities, and the importance of continuous quality improvement. His presentation was well supported by visual slides and practical examples, which enabled the participants to understand the accreditation procedures clearly.

Active interaction took place throughout the session, during which the participants clarified doubts related to criteria-wise documentation, student support mechanisms, research initiatives, and extension activities. The orientation was informative, motivating, and highly beneficial for all the attendees.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the resource person, the management, the IQAC coordinators, and all participants for their cooperation and contribution to the successful conduct of the event.

Overall, the NAAC Orientation Program – II served as a significant step toward strengthening the quality culture of the institution and ensuring better preparedness for the upcoming NAAC assessment.

Opportunity Awareness Class












 OPPORTUNITY AWARENESS CLASS

An Opportunity Awareness Class was organised by the IQAC of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady in association with the National & International Opportunities Cell on 5th December 2025. The programme was conducted at 11:00 AM in the College Auditorium with the aim of enlightening students about various prospects for higher studies and job opportunities in India and abroad.

The session is started with a welcome address by College Chairperson Miss Shana Mehashaboom.The session is led by the esteemed Resource Person Ms. Sushmitha Chandhran, Head Counsellor at Fragomen Educational Services, Ernakulam. Her extensive experience in career counselling and global academic pathways added immense value to the event.

During the class, Ms. Sushmitha provided a comprehensive overview of international and national higher education opportunities, application procedures, scholarship options, and essential skills required for employability. She highlighted the current trends in global job markets and guided students on choosing suitable career paths based on their aptitude and interest. The resource person also explained documentation requirements, competitive examinations, and the importance of internships and certifications.

The session was highly interactive, with participants actively raising queries regarding courses, countries, admission processes, job placements, and financial support possibilities. The informative and motivating presentation encouraged students to think beyond conventional options and to pursue their career goals with confidence.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Subadra Namboothiri , student representative acknowledging the efforts of the resource person and organisers. The awareness class proved to be extremely beneficial and broadened the horizon of students by providing clarity about future academic and career opportunities.

K-TET Winners Congratulatory Function















  K-TET WINNERS CONGRATULATORY PROGRAMME

The Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady organised a grand K-TET Winners Congratulatory Programme on 4th December 2025 at 2:00 PM in the college auditorium to honour the students who successfully cleared the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET). The programme was conducted to celebrate the achievements of the winners and to motivate the student community towards academic excellence and professional growth.

The ceremony began with an official welcome by college Chairperson Miss Shana followed by a dignified session on stage, where college principal and competitive exam cell coordinator Miss Sharanya addressed the gathering. The faculty members appreciated the winners for their hard work, dedication and perseverance in achieving this milestone. Their speeches highlighted the importance of professional competency and continuous learning in the teaching profession.

A large number of students and faculty members actively participated in the event. The auditorium was filled with enthusiastic attendees who applauded and encouraged the winners throughout the session. The awardees were recognised and appreciated for their excellence, and they shared their experiences and preparation strategies, which motivated and inspired the audience.

The programme created a highly positive and proud atmosphere within the campus. It served as a platform to encourage aspiring teachers to strive for success in competitive examinations and to bring honour to the institution.

The event concluded with heartfelt congratulations to all K-TET achievers, followed by a vote of thanks By Miss Revathy  from Commerce Option.
