REPORT ON DANDELI – YANA CAVE – GOKARNA – MURUDESHWAR – KUDAJADRI TOUR
(24/11/2025 – 28/11/2025)
The B.Ed students of Teachers Education Centre, Kalady successfully completed a five-day educational and recreational tour to Dandeli, Yana Cave, Gokarna, Murudeshwar and Kudajadri from 24th November 2025 to 28th November 2025. The tour was organized by Appa’s Holidays, approved by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala.
Day 1 – 24/11/2025 (Monday)
The journey began from Chalakkudy to Mangalore by train, followed by a bus ride to Dandeli at 10 PM. The entire team travelled overnight with great enthusiasm and excitement. Students were briefed about safety guidelines and tour rules before the start.
Day 2 – 25/11/2025 (Tuesday)
The team reached Dandeli by morning and freshened up at the hotel. After breakfast, students participated in thrilling water activities such as zorbing, kayaking, and water boating. After lunch, indoor activities including archery, carroms, shooting as well as swimming (nylon dress compulsory) were enjoyed by all. A musical dance and campfire in the evening created a memorable atmosphere filled with team spirit and joy. Dinner was served at the resort.
Day 3 – 26/11/2025 (Wednesday)
The group checked out of the hotel at 5 AM and travelled to Yana, where students explored the famous Yana Caves through a 1 km trekking trail inside the forest. After lunch, the team proceeded to Gokarna Beach, which offered a relaxing scenic experience. Everyone checked in at Sanskriti Resort, Gokarna, where dinner and night stay were arranged.
Day 4 – 27/11/2025 (Thursday)
After breakfast, students checked out of the hotel and visited the iconic Murudeshwar Temple, where they witnessed the majestic Shiva statue and the serene coastal temple architecture. After lunch, the group proceeded to Kudajadri for off-road Jeep trekking and Shankarapeetam walk trekking, which provided a refreshing blend of adventure and spirituality. After dinner, the team travelled back to Mangalore to board the return train at 11 PM.
Day 5 – 28/11/2025 (Friday)
The tour concluded with the arrival at the home station at 5 AM. Students returned with happy memories, new friendships, and enriched experiences.

Conclusion
The five-day tour was enjoyable, adventurous and educational, providing students with opportunities to explore natural beauty, historical heritage, teamwork and cultural variety. The tour strengthened bonds among students and teachers and offered a refreshing break from routine academic activities. The cooperation and discipline of all participants contributed to the smooth and successful completion of the journey.
