Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, organized its annual arts festival “Samanwaya Arts Fest 2025” as part of the academic year 2025–26. The four-day cultural extravaganza was conducted from 17th to 20th December 2025 with the objective of promoting creativity, cultural expression, aesthetic appreciation, and holistic personality development among student teachers.

The festival was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sri. Parthasarathy, a well-known theatre personality. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of arts in education and stated that cultural activities play a vital role in developing emotional balance, confidence, communication skills, and social harmony. He encouraged student teachers to actively engage in fine arts, as they are future educators responsible for nurturing creativity among school students.

The programme featured a wide range of competitions and performances, including literary events, music, dance, drama, and fine arts. Student teachers from different optional subjects participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents in both individual and group events. The campus was filled with vibrant colours, decorations, and a festive atmosphere throughout the four days.

As part of the festival, various stage and off-stage events were conducted. The competitions were judged by external experts, ensuring fairness and professional evaluation. The events were well coordinated by the student council and faculty members, reflecting excellent organizational skills and teamwork.

The Arts Fest also witnessed the emergence of young talents. Students who excelled in different categories were recognized and appreciated. The following students were honoured in major categories during the festival:

Kalathilakam: Shana Mehshaboom K.B (English)

Kalaprathibha: Sravan Karthik K.T (Physical Science)

Junior Kalathilakam: Meenu Benny (Social Science)

Junior Kalaprathibha: Dhananjay Krishnan K.S (Sanskrit)

Their achievements stood as a testimony to the artistic excellence nurtured by the institution.

Throughout the festival, the active involvement of faculty members, judges, volunteers, and participants contributed to the smooth conduct of all events. The programmes not only entertained the audience but also helped in building confidence, leadership qualities, stage presence, and cooperative spirit among the student teachers.

The Arts Fest concluded with a colourful valedictory function, during which winners were awarded certificates and trophies. The organizers expressed gratitude to the chief guest, judges, faculty coordinators, and students for making the event a grand success.

In conclusion, Samanwaya Arts Fest 2025 was a memorable and enriching experience for the entire college community. It successfully fulfilled its purpose of fostering cultural awareness, unity, creativity, and holistic development among future teachers.
