The tour began on Day 1 with a visit to Mattancherry, Kochi, where students explored the Mattancherry Palace and the Jewish Synagogue. The visit provided insight into Kerala’s royal heritage, traditional murals and the influence of Jewish culture in the region. Students observed the historical artifacts and architecture, enriching their understanding of Kerala’s cultural past.
In the afternoon, the team proceeded to Hill Palace, Thripunithura, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. The exhibits displaying royal ornaments, weapons, paintings and artifacts sparked great curiosity among the student-teachers. The museum visit helped them relate historical content learned in textbooks to real-life evidences and objects.
On Day 2, the group travelled to Munnar, one of the most famous hill stations in Kerala. The scenic landscapes, tea plantations and pleasant climate created an enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students visited Mattupetty Dam, Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), Cheeyapara and Valara Waterfalls, where they learned about biodiversity, ecological balance and the importance of conservation. The interaction with nature provided a refreshing break and created memorable experiences.
Throughout the trip, the students maintained discipline and actively participated in every activity. The tour served as a great platform to build team spirit, cooperation and social interaction among the trainee teachers. It also supported experiential learning by integrating history, culture and environmental studies.
The two-day trip concluded successfully with safe return to the college, leaving students enriched with knowledge, exposure and unforgettable memories.
