Mass Chlorination and Source Reduction Activity
A Mass Chlorination and Source Reduction Activity was organized by Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre (CHC), on 11th November 2025 at 9:15 AM. The programme aimed to create awareness about mosquito eradication and to promote community health and hygiene.
The function began with a welcome address by Dr. S. Karpagam, Assistant Professor. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Appu Cyriac from CHC. The keynote address was given by Health Inspector Sunitha Vasudevan, who emphasized the importance of chlorination and preventive measures to control mosquito breeding.
An activity demonstration was led by Junior Health Inspector Shibu, explaining practical steps for chlorination and source reduction in the community.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and concluding speech by Bindu, Health Supervisor, CHC.
The event was informative and beneficial for the participants, helping them understand the importance of maintaining clean surroundings and safe water practices to ensure public health and prevent mosquito-borne diseases.
