ANTI-RAGGING DAY
Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady

The Anti-Ragging Cell of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized Anti-Ragging Day on 12th August 2025 with the objective of promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
The programme commenced with an introduction by Metty Sebastian, who warmly welcomed the gathering and outlined the significance of the day. This was followed by an awareness class conducted by Andrews J Vazhappilly, who highlighted the legal, psychological, and ethical aspects of ragging, stressing the importance of mutual respect among students.
A short presentation was showcased to the audience, visually depicting the ill effects of ragging and ways to prevent it. The session was impactful in instilling awareness among students about the consequences of such acts.
Afterwards, Ashna Benny led the pledge-taking ceremony, where students and faculty vowed to stand against any form of ragging and to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere on campus.
The event concluded with the filling of the online Anti-Ragging Affidavit by the students, ensuring their formal commitment to maintaining a ragging-free campus.
