THE RED RIBBON CLUB PROGRAMME
The Red Ribbon Club of Adi Sankara Training College, in association with Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS), organized an awareness programme titled “Yuva Jagran – Folk Campaign” on 19th August 2025. The event was held at 11:00 AM in the college auditorium as part of the National Service Scheme (NSS) activities under NSS Unit 244.
The programme aimed at creating awareness among youth regarding AIDS and general health through cultural and folk media. The folk campaign method helped in delivering important health-related messages in an engaging and understandable manner. The resource team effectively highlighted the importance of awareness, prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices among the younger generation.
The programme began with a formal inaugural session, followed by a series of folk presentations and interactive awareness activities. Students actively participated in the session and gained valuable information about HIV/AIDS prevention and the role of youth in building a healthy society. The event also promoted the theme of social responsibility and collective action in combating health issues.
Overall, the Red Ribbon Club initiative succeeded in sensitizing students and reinforcing the message of “Youth for Health and Awareness.” The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of KSACS, NSS volunteers, faculty coordinators, and all participants for contributing to the success of the event.
