  IKS (Indian Knowledge System)

       Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, formally introduced the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) with an inaugural session held at the College Auditorium at 10.30 am. The programme was organised with the objective of familiarising students with India’s rich knowledge traditions and their relevance in modern education.
        The event began with an introduction and welcome address delivered by Anjana K R. This was followed by a brief presentation on the aims and objectives of IKS, which include the dissemination of Indian-based knowledge, organising seminars and workshops, showcasing India’s contributions across diverse fields, and arranging visits to important cultural and religious sites.
         The session also featured thematic talks by students. Dhananjay Krishnan K S spoke on the significance of Vinayakachathurthi, while another talk was presented on Onam, highlighting its cultural and educational values. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Haridev K A, the President of IKS.
         The coordinators and members of IKS were also introduced during the session. The initiative is mentored by Dr. Karpagam S, with Haridev K A serving as President and Dhananjay Krishnan K S as Secretary. All students of the college are members of the cell, ensuring active participation in future activities.
         The programme provided a meaningful platform to appreciate India’s intellectual and cultural heritage while instilling pride in its traditional knowledge systems.
