College Union and Arts Club Inauguration
Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady
The College Union and Arts Club Inauguration of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady, was held on October 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the College Auditorium. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and served as a platform to officially commence the cultural and co-curricular activities of the academic year.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by the welcome address delivered by Binitha Biju, Vice Chairperson of the College Union. The Presidential Address was given by Shana Mehshabhoom K. B, Chairperson of the College Union, who highlighted the importance of active student participation in union and arts activities.
The College Union was inaugurated by Sri. Sijo Chowaran, Angamaly Block Panchayat Welfare Standing Committee Member, who motivated the students to take leadership roles and contribute positively to society. The Arts Club was inaugurated by Mr. Bhavin Vinod, singer and performer, who also captivated the audience with his musical presentation.
Dr. N. K. Arjunan, Principal of Adi Sankara Training College, delivered the felicitation address, appreciating the efforts of the union members and encouraging students to explore their talents. Deepthy Devassy, Staff Advisor, also felicitated the gathering with inspiring words.
As part of the function, the college proudly congratulated the SET and K-TET qualified students for their academic excellence. A special mention was given to the students who brought laurels to the college by winning the DIGNITO Inter-College Short Film Competition 2025 held at De Paul Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Adhithya P. C, Arts Club Secretary, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, faculty, and students for their active participation and support.
The inauguration marked a vibrant beginning to the college’s cultural year, celebrating both academic and artistic achievements with pride and enthusiasm.
