Kathak Performance by Pt. Rajendra Gangani
Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat club in collaboration with IQAC Adisankara training college,Kalady, organized a Kathak performance by Sangeetha Natya Academy Award Winner Pt. Rajendra Gangani on 14th October 2025 at 2:30 PM in the college auditorium. .
The event aimed to enlighten the students and youth on India’s rich cultural diversity and to create an appreciation for classical art forms. The program commenced with a formal welcome address by Dr. Ratheesh C. Nair, Head of the Department of Hindi, followed by an introduction of the artist by Rajesh M P Programme Coordinator.
Pt. Rajendra Gangani, a renowned Kathak exponent, mesmerized the audience with his graceful movements, intricate footwork, and expressive storytelling through dance. His performance beautifully blended rhythm, expression, and tradition, giving the audience an enriching cultural experience.
The event concluded with an interactive session where the artist shared insights into the evolution and nuances of Kathak, inspiring students to respect and preserve India’s artistic heritage. Smt.Praseeda V, IQAC Co-ordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
The program was a grand success under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) N K Arjunan, Principal of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady. The students and faculty highly appreciated Shresht Bharat club's efforts in promoting classical art forms among the younger generation.
