MG University Kalolsavam -2026














College Union Kalolsavam 2025–26

The College Union Kalolsavam 2025–26 was organized by the University Union of Mahatma Gandhi University from 27th February to 5th March 2026 at 5:00 PM in the Thiruvalla Municipal stadium. The programme aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic, literary and cultural talents and to promote creativity and cultural appreciation among the teacher trainees.

Various competitions were conducted as part of the Kalolsavam, and many students actively participated in different events. In the Sanskrit Essay Writing competition, Farzana P. S (2nd Year B.Ed Sanskrit) secured A Grade for her outstanding performance. In the Hindi Poetry Recitation competition, Aiswarya K. Suresh (1st Year B.Ed Hindi) also achieved A Grade. Malavika P. R (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit) secured A Grade in Sanskrit Poetry Writing, showing her creative talent and language proficiency.

Students also participated in several other literary and cultural competitions. Sreelakshmi K. Iyer (2nd Year B.Ed Sanskrit) participated in Classical Music Vocal (Female) and Tamil Elocution. Keerthana K. S (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit) participated in Folk Dance (Individual – Female). Lakshmi Varada Sivaji (1st Year B.Ed Social Science) participated in Malayalam Kavithaparayanam. Subhadra K. Namboodiri (2nd Year B.Ed Mathematics) participated in Aksharaslokam, where she secured Second A Grade.

The Nadanpattu event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several students including Athira P Salin (1st Year B.Ed Natural Science), Navaneeth M. S (1st Year B.Ed Social Science), Vishnu Priya K. R (1st Year B.Ed Hindi), Dhananjay Krishnan K. S (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Aiswarya K. Suresh (1st Year B.Ed Hindi), Meenakshi K. K (2nd Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Hazna Haris (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science) and Harinarayanan A (1st Year B.Ed Physical Science).

Group events were another highlight of the Kalolsavam. In Vanchipattu, the participating students were Arya Prathap (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science), Ashina K. H (2nd Year B.Ed Hindi), Athira T. C (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science), Anjitha Biju (2nd Year B.Ed Commerce), Krishnaja Hari (2nd Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Adhithya P. C (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science), Nithya Gopi (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science) and Devika Babu (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science). The team delivered an energetic performance and secured A Grade.

Another major group performance was Thiruvathira, which was led by Sabitha Singh (2nd Year B.Ed Hindi) along with team members Devapriya M. P (1st Year B.Ed Hindi), Keerthana K. S (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Prabina K (1st Year B.Ed Social Science), Neenamol B (1st Year B.Ed Social Science), Anaswara M (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Prajila K. P (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Drusya C. S (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Malavika P. R (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit) and Delna T. O (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit). The performance was graceful and well-coordinated and secured A Grade.

The programme also included participation from Malavika P. R (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit) in Mono Act. The Thiruvathira team was accompanied by Anju Krishna K (1st Year B.Ed Mathematics), Dhananjay Krishnan K. S (1st Year B.Ed Sanskrit), Adhithya P. C (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science) and Devika Babu (2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science) who assisted in organizing and supporting the performance.

The Kalolsavam was a vibrant and memorable event that encouraged students to explore and develop their cultural and artistic talents. Such programmes play a significant role in the holistic development of teacher trainees by fostering confidence, creativity, teamwork and cultural awareness. The event concluded successfully with great enthusiasm and appreciation for all the participants.
