Waste Management Cell – Adisankara training college
Introduction
The Waste Management Cell of our College is a dedicated body committed to promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and sustainable practices within the campus. Guided by the principle of “Recycle – Reduce – Reuse”, the Cell works to ensure that waste is handled in an eco-friendly, systematic, and educational manner, inspiring teacher trainees to become ambassadors of environmental care in their future classrooms.
Policies
Waste Segregation Policy – All waste generated in the campus shall be segregated into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable categories using clearly labelled bins.
Reduction of Waste – Minimize single-use plastics, encourage double-sided printing, and promote paperless communication wherever possible.
Recycling Policy – Partner with local recycling agencies to process paper, plastic, and e-waste responsibly.
Awareness & Education – Conduct workshops, seminars, and campaigns to spread awareness about sustainable waste management.
Green Campus Policy – Integrate eco-friendly initiatives such as composting of food waste, rainwater harvesting, and use of reusable materials in events.
