Report on Drama Workshop
The IQAC of Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady organized a Drama Workshop on 15th September 2025 at the college auditorium. The session began at 9.30 a.m. with the participation of student teachers and faculty members.
The workshop was led by Ms. Sunitha V., Assistant Professor in Performing Arts, ASTC Kalady, who served as the resource person. She explained the different types of stages and performances in drama and highlighted the techniques of scriptwriting, stage presentation, and character building. She also gave practical demonstrations on how to effectively use props in drama to make performances more lively and impactful.
The interactive activities conducted by Ms. Sunitha kept the students fully engaged. Participants enthusiastically took part in performance exercises, gaining hands-on experience in expression, movement, and dialogue delivery.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial in enriching the creativity of the student teachers, enhancing their confidence, and equipping them with essential skills for integrating drama into the teaching-learning process.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating Ms. Sunitha V. for her insightful and inspiring session.
