1. Introduction
As part of the Orientation Programme for first-year B.Ed students, a session titled “Teacher as a Techno-Pedagogue” was conducted to introduce students to the concept of integrating technology with pedagogy. The session aimed to sensitize future educators to the evolving role of teachers in the 21st-century classroom and equip them with basic digital tools to enhance teaching-learning practices.

2. Objectives of the Session
To introduce the concept of techno-pedagogy and its relevance in modern classrooms.

To familiarize students with essential educational technology tools such as Canva, Kinemaster, and Google Classroom.

To encourage hands-on participation in designing digital teaching materials.

To promote creativity and collaborative learning among student-teachers.

3. Session Highlights
The session began with an interactive introduction to the term “Techno-Pedagogue,” discussing the evolving teacher roles in technology-integrated classrooms.

Demonstrations were given on how to use Canva to design creative posters, lesson templates, certificates, and infographics.

Kinemaster, a mobile video editing app, was introduced for creating short educational videos, lesson introductions, and reflective vlogs.

Students were also introduced to Google Classroom, which will be used throughout the year as the primary digital learning platform for communication, assignment submission, and collaborations.

4. Hands-on Activities
Students were divided into small groups and assigned the task of creating digital posters on the theme: "The Role of Teachers in the Digital Era."

Each group used Canva to design a poster highlighting key traits of a techno-pedagogue.

The same groups created short introductory videos using Kinemaster, showcasing their understanding of technology integration in teaching.

All outputs (posters and videos) were uploaded by the students in a shared Google Classroom, created specifically for this activity.

5. Outcomes
Students demonstrated active participation and enthusiasm in exploring digital tools.

The posters reflected creative and critical thinking about the role of technology in education.

The videos created were highly engaging and served as effective peer-learning tools.

Students became familiar with Google Classroom, fostering a strong start to digital classroom integration.

The activity laid the foundation for developing 21st-century teaching skills among B.Ed trainees.

6. Feedback and Reflection
Students expressed appreciation for the practical nature of the session.

Many found Canva and Kinemaster easy to use and valuable for future teaching.

There was a collective realization of the importance of techno-pedagogy in enhancing student engagement and differentiated instruction.

7. Conclusion
